There’s a bit of a run going with the series of entries of recent weeks. That run will continue in the coming days. It’s worth just putting in a brief word here to give an update on how things are with me.
First up, it’s worth thanking God that life for me at the moment is good. It’s not often I can say that, but there I am saying it. What I mean by good is that there is a better situation where work is concerned, there are some good connections where other work is concerned. Life in the community of believers is promising too, promising in the sense that there are developments there that has given me hope that we can make a difference with each other and in our community. That’s good news as far as I’m concerned.
Life with the Dryden Family, meanwhile, continues and although there are some changes with my time, I still get to see my daughters growing in their very unique ways. It is a tremendous privilege doing so. They are such a blessing to my life and they keep me closer to God in a bid to do right by them in example as well as instruction. Married life is sweet too working out how we work better together even if we can’t always be together in doing the important things in life. Mrs Dryden really is an incredible woman.
Of all the months in the year, November is undoubtedly my favourite. There are quite a few friends who have their birthdays in this month and I look forward to celebrating those. I can’t imagine why else this month would be my favourite though …
Anyway, as I mentioned earlier, there’s a run of blogs on a theme at the moment and I am challenged by the themes in the build up to … well there’s a reason for the days countdown. It’s all going somewhere. The focus on the themes are doing a very good job in reflecting what I want to focus on in life – the things that matter about the One that matters most to me.
I am grateful for the faithfulness of God. Whatever situation my life appears to be to me, His faithfulness remains. Facts like these will be all the more important with what is ahead …
For His Name’s Sake
Shalom
C. L. J. Dryden
