I was having a conversation with a very good and dear friend. We were talking about necessary changes and moves in life. Among the things I love and respect about this friend is his passion and commitment to God being the gospel.
He spoke some good words to me about that focus, which reminded me of just how twisted we can make the gospel. It can be about so many other things other than centrally and essentially about God. We can do it with the best motives, with the best intentions but completely missing the point. It is sad when it happens and when we are oblivious to it. Yet in His mercy, God does not leave us in that state, He leaves a lot on the way of hints and nudges to something more in line with what matters to Him. I am so grateful for friends like this true and faithful friend.
As we conversed I came across the tweet you see above. Let me put it this way – it was timely …
For His Name’s Sake
