Humbling yourself before God is a great position for progress. In this position, your accolades, accomplishments and achievements mean nothing. What really matters is the One you approach. What matters is to make much of the One you call. As you make much of Him, so your position is ready to receive even as you call out to Him.
You’re not putting God at ransom. You adjust your perspective to put everything in His hands for Him to rule as He sees fit. Your hope is for Him to consider your condition and express mercy for His sake. There is great confidence placed in Him. There is a meekness to the approach and it is marked by great humility. In that God is ready to show Himself strong on your behalf.
The position means everything for progress.
