One of the reasons why I love God is that He wants me to be honest. I know He wants me to be honest, because Psalms has verses like this.
Sure, there is still the reassurance later on and knowledge that God will come through, but that is not glib or rote. That is coming from the pain from without and from within. I want to be a part of a community of grace that encourages people to rely on Jesus and know they can be this honest, because it is not easy at all – sure His yolk maybe easy and burden light, but many can talk about enduring hard times as the Psalmist describes.
