It gained a grip when you were told of the cost. It’s grip tightened every time you thought of what would happen if you ever let go. It took a stranglehold and refused to let go.
It must lose its grip when the love of God breaks through. The basis of lies on which it’s based is shattered in the presence of the truth reinforced. Its tentacles withers away when exposed to the light. Its hold is weakened forever when He is on the scene.
What was such a seemingly permanent fixture is dispelled and replaced with the warmth of the truth and liberating knowledge that fear can never take a hold again as long as God is in your life.
For His Name’s Sake
