I came across something I found truly fascinating and shared it. A friend commented on it and expressed disagreement with the sentiment. I really appreciate the disagreement and the impassioned position behind it.
It then got me thinking about how to respond. At that juncture it occurred to me that there was no easy answer. It wasn’t about posting a comment in response, it was about conversation that was not about reaching agreement, but more about exploring mutual understanding. That takes time and commitment. That’s alright.
That’s what following Jesus should be about. Not looking for easy answers. That approach to faith can be frustrating at times, but it’s a reason why patience is part of the fruit of the Spirit.
