There are those who suggest it’s good to know your strengths and weaknesses. Once you know those you got to do something with your weaknesses. Work onon improving them is the suggestion. They probably know what they’re saying.
Likewise there are folks who suggest you can learn so much from a defeat or a setback. That is very true. So much can be learnt from failure that can help in the future. Absolutely no arguments there.
However, as well as that there’s a lot to be said for focusing on your strengths and learning from your victories. I get the impression from experience and observations that the more you work on what you do well, the better you do in what you do well. If it’s something you do well and you love it, then there’s something even greater to look forward to. If it’s something that you love and can benefit someone else in growing in that same area, what a delight and joy that will be to many.
I am not suggesting ignoring weakness and defeat. They have their value. I just think it’s worth considering the great valuevalue of improving on the positives.
