Walking with Jesus is not always about walking in the clear.
I say that as a man who has a high value on clarity. The reality is, however, there are times walking with Christ where it gets a bit foggy. Jesus is real and He cares and orders my steps. Yet I can’t always see clearly where I am going and sometimes He has no problem with that because that’s exactly where He wants me to be. Not to stay in the mists, but to walk through it. Just one step at a time.
In the mists my intellect is of little use. In the mists access to online resources are of limited purpose. In the mists slowly but surely it dawns on me to make progress, I will need to trust Him alone. Even the relationships He provides are to focus me to trust Him. For there are others wandering in these mists who are unsure if there’s anything beyond the mists.
There is something beyond. But we’re better off trusting our divine guide to walk the right steps through to avoid missing the place we should be.
As we walk with Him in the mists, Jesus will make the way clear in time.
