Burning

OK so the Exodus Extracts series is taking place on week days and that, but there was something that I was thinking about recently.

It was quite the sight to catch the attention of that old shepherd. It’s a light but it’s more than a light. There’s something burning and yet … what on earth is going on over there. It’s worth checking out.

It’s something bright, it’s fiery, it captures the attention of anyone who looks in its direction. From it the voice of God calls out.

I dwell on that picture for a while and it’s as if sometimes followers of Jesus are supposed to be the same. People alight with the Holy Spirit who catch people’s attention because of the light and there’s more to the light. We are the living embodiment of the light of the world shining and showing people the way.

Just a thought.
