There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy habitation of the Most High.
(Psalm 46:4 ESV)
I love this verse.
I love the chapter that it’s in. It’s a great Psalm to ponder on. This verse though, it’s so rich. I could spend hours meditating on that.
A river whose streams make glad God’s city. Why? How? River with streams – what does that invoke? What does that mean? What comes with the river? How do the streams coursing through the city bring joy and gladness?
Such a wonderful verse, such beautiful imagery evoked from it.
