That Kinda Love

Some parts of the Bible are engrained in my thinking.

Behold what manner of love the Father has given to us that we should be called the sons of God!

I don’t forget that verse in a hurry. Statements like that are why I am a follower of Jesus because it’s an invitation to see that kinda love.

That kinda love that did not condemn me but in grace: called me, embraced me, cleaned me, reinvigorated me, refreshed me, renewed me, revitalised me, edified me, enhanced me, equipped me, enabled me, empowered me, emboldened me, humbled me, protected me, nurtured me, cherished me, nourished me, forgave me, challenged me, motivated me, trusted me and released me to allow others to witness that kinda love in and through me.

That’s just for starters …

And if that kinda love is doing that in and through me in the lifelong pursuit of Christ, the invitation extends to far more than me to behold that manner of love.
