A Word On Restoration

Hanley Park located in Stoke-on-Trent is a pleasant Park overall. More or less. Kinda.

When I walk to the train station I tend to go through the park and do enjoy strolling through it. Yet the Park is not in peak condition. Some families are hesitant to walk through certain areas of the park due to reputation of drug and alcohol abuse. There are also a number of facilities in the park that are run down and unused.

In the light of that the local council and a community group have successfully gained the funds to work on a restoration project scheduled to take two years. This will address the problem areas and make it a park that all the family will be eager to use as it realises its potential as a place of recreation, reflection and refreshment.

It is exciting to think about what the park will be like when the restoration project is complete.

It was so apt to be thinking of that in the light of my view on the purpose of Christ and His ongoing work through His people.

For His Name’s Sake
Shalom
