Making Connections

People didn’t always understand Jesus.

It didn’t always bother him that they didn’t. In fact He knew a lot of the time they wouldn’t understand Him. But they did connect with Him. There was something about what He said that caused them to react in one way or another. It wasn’t just the signs He performed. There was an authority they had not heard before. Something beyond academic and religious noises.

The stories He chose connected with people where they were at and reinforced what they saw in His time on earth.

It’s no great shakes, but I reckon we can make kingdom connections today. There’s plenty around to do so, but our desire as to be to see those connections and make them for others to at least connect with us. Even if they don’t understand.

For His Name’s Sake

Shalom
