What About The Others

Sometimes I am having a meal. I look around the table. My wife is there and the three daughters we have are there. We are having a great time. It’s how family should be.

In as much as the company is great, I sometimes wonder, what about the others.

Sometimes the brethren at church will hold a community meal. Brothers and sisters will share quality time and laughter with each other. The fellowship will be rich and sweet.

In as much as the company is great, I sometimes wonder, what about the others.

We share around the Lord’s table from time to time. Brethren will talk about His incredible goodness in their lives and share what a privilege it is to be a part of the family and be a recipient of the amazing grace of God. It is truly uplifting and edifying to take part in it.

In as much as the company is great, I sometimes wonder, what about the others.

Then I am reassured that there are others who will join in the family and the fellowship. There are others who will enrich us in the diverse experiences that point to the wide love of Christ for us. There are others who will join and deepen us in our faith. There are others who will not come to us, but we will go to them and live out the family love in their neighbourhood.

Then in the end at the marriage Supper of the Lamb, all of us will be able to celebrate our majestic Lord and Saviour who always shared a concern about the others.

For His Name’s Sake
Shalom
