Joy Of Your Salvation

When I’m at my lowest low, no one picks me up like Jesus. He rescues me from the state of despair that often paralyses any effort to be a functioning member of society.

In my darkest hour the light of His way enables me to see the way out and that not even the darkness can overcome the light. The prevailing shine of His presence is enough to lift me.

I used to be so self-absorbed in the nature of my faults and failings that I thought it would take a long to ever be considered worthy by God again. I thank God for the loving advice I received that pointed me in the direction of the character of the God serve. Full of mercy and full of compassion, He is not one to dismiss the earnest pleas of a contrite and remorseful soul. He is ever ready to embrace and welcome all who return to Him.

The reality of the circumstances may not change, but the perspective on it certainly does in the light of His love and care. It was never about earning enough to gain His love. It was never about being good enough. It was never about the stumbling and the faltering. It was all about His unfailing love to pick up a man when he falls and set him back in the Way he should go.

He is greater than the issues we face. He is greater than the mistakes we make. He is greater than the wrong directions we take. He is greater and is able to put us back on the right path.

Knowing this and experiencing this from the depth of the being marks an episode in experiencing the joy of His salvation. Knowing not only are His arms outstretched but He has taken the step of going looking for us as we are part of His precious family compels me to return quickly whenever I stray.

Before that was not always the case, but thank God for His character. Thank God for the salvation He has brought to us. Thank God for the joy that comes with that as we focus all on Him.

For His Name’s Sake

Shalom
