Genesis: 31 – Band On The Run

If the God of my father, the God of Abraham and the Fear of Isaac, had not been with me, you would surely have sent me away empty-handed. But God has seen my hardship and the toil of my hands, and last night he rebuked you. (Genesis 31:42)

There comes a time when enough is enough.

You get the hints, you see the signs, you take the messages, it’s clear that you are not the person who is valued in this situation. It’s a good thing too to know God says it’s time to go.

Jacob’s recognition of God on His side is a good reminder for any follower of Christ who finds themselves in a tricky situation. When God is on your side, you can endure the efforts to undermine and neglect you.

It’s only by relying on Him who takes you to it that you’re able to make it through it.

For His Name’s Sake

Shalom
