Acts Actually: 25 – Taking It To The Top

Paul answered: “I am now standing before Caesar’s court, where I ought to be tried. I have not done any wrong to the Jews, as you yourself know very well. If, however, I am guilty of doing anything deserving death, I do not refuse to die. But if the charges brought against me by these Jews are not true, no one has the right to hand me over to them. I appeal to Caesar!” (Acts 25:10-11)

It is interesting reading how Paul engages with different levels of the political structure in the Roman Empire at the time. It’s also interesting seeing how he responds to the various attempts made over the years by the Jewish authorities.

The wisdom of God to be able to use the procedures to your advantage is instructive. Some of us are not clued up on systems and procedures and so wonder why we’re often missing out. Even in his position as a prisoner the wisdom of God gave Paul enough to be able to use his position to present the gospel to different influential people and resist the plans of his Jewish adversaries.

Oh for such wisdom to navigate systems and procedures that are not always designed for our benefit.

For His Name’s Sake

Shalom
