The month of November.
This has been a very interesting month. I set out to do a number of things over the month especially to do with Bible Study and I am grateful to God that I was able to accomplish them.
There were some very challenging issues that took place over the month, whether with work challenges or news of bereavement. Some of the most challenging issues had to do with my mindset regarding life in the church. This weekend, however, has been very good in addressing some of those challenges. I am grateful to God for that.
This was the month, of course, in which I celebrated my birthday. To reflect on my life now as part of the journey thus far was an amazing time to truly see what God has done for me. I am not the finished article by any stretch of the imagination, but there’s no doubt progress has been made. God has truly enriched my life with the critical relationships that play their pivotal part in my life. I am grateful to God for those relationships.
The month allowed me to get involved in some activities that applied some of the gifts and talents that I have in a way that stretches them beyond my regular usage. It was a truly invigorating experience and I want to make it the first of many as I pursue these different paths. I am grateful to God for these opportunities.
November gave me the chance to appreciate what work there is still to do. There are still goals to achieve, lives to affect and great work to be accomplished. I am aware more than ever of my failings and flaws. I am also aware of the sufficiency of God in all things to let His Kingdom rule be real in my life as it is in heaven. I am not putting myself under pressure to do everything at once. I am relieved to know that He who called me to it will take me through it for His glory. I am grateful to God for the honour of being called according to His purposes.
This month finishes with me still looking to God for inspiration and direction. He has never let me down and I am grateful to Him for that.
For His Name’s Sake
Shalom
