A Life Update

It’s not easy living.

Things I find easy are eating chocolate, watching cartoons with Bugs Bunny made before the 1980’s and laughing at Zoe’s efforts to be funny. That’s easy.

Living – not so much.

Here I am though, typing again which means I be alive and carrying on with this living business. So far it’s not going too badly. It has been a while since an update on how things are with myself. From the last update, we are rather more settled in the city. The children are doing well at school, thank God. My wife is busy engaged with lots of activities from being a great mother to contributing to community causes.

As for me. I am still here typing and have enjoyed some of the challenges of writing lately. Work is … interesting, with lots of promise and potential and some good people there as well. Church is the slowest burner of the lot at the moment. There’s a norm that I’m getting used to in it, but I don’t want to get too comfortable seeing as though there are lots of things I want to do which stretch the norm. Opportunities are cropping up, but I want to take them responsibly.

What’s clearer than before is that there’s no time to waste. Time is something I will never get back and there are worthy ways of using it to benefit folks and especially in line with the will of God.

As you may have gathered it’s time for a look through the gospel according to John. I hope to cover a chapter a day until the book is done and see what comes out of it. The pace picks up over the month in terms of activity, but I endeavour not to be driven just by activity. I enjoy silence, I like time alone to reflect and more than ever I know that will be important for what is to come.

Keep on with the prayers, please. Thanks.

For His Name’s Sake

Shalom
