It’s called today. It’s all the time we have.
I have never lived in tomorrow and I never will. Attempts to live in yesterday are thwarted by the fact that it’s past. That leaves me with today.
There are encouragements to make the most of today as long as it’s called today. Those encouragements are given so we don’t get hardened, hardened by fear, hardened by pride, hardened by the things that take us from the value of enjoying today.
Mistakes are made yesterday, but they don’t have to be made today. Success might have happened yesterday, but it’s a brand new day today. More than ever before we need to make the most of today, us and those who travel on the path today.
So it’s today, there are people to love, people to whom mercy is to be shown, opportunities to be patient, chances to be vulnerable and blessed in the walk with Jesus. We will have a good day today when we approach it with the God who Is.
Have you noticed the phrase ‘have a great day’ is not a request or a suggestion. It’s an offer, it’s a present.
Make the most of life as long as you’re in it today.
For His Name’s Sake
Shalom
