Recently I considered what it looks like to grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ. It got me thinking of what that looks like on a personal and corporate level.
Of course it does assume that I’ve seen it and know of it. Something I am very aware of is reading scripture and hearing others tell stories and reading books about it happening elsewhere. Those sources are good. It’s also good to have personal experience.
Not that I am writing from a position of infallible knowledge. Heh. There are many witnesses who will testify to my … challenges. Yet I still love Jesus and His Word. I love being with His people as they carry on His work. I have had the privilege of seeing some of the good, bad and ugly. One of the things I don’t love is the difficult lessons it takes to learn from God.
I don’t love it, but I wouldn’t learn and grow in Christ without. Sometimes it takes some discomfort to get us to grow.
The hope is that the series will show that discomfort but glorify God for the growth that takes place that conforms us to the image of Christ.
For His Name’s Sake
Shalom
