I have started The Pursuit of God by A. W. Tozer. It is already burning a hole deep in my psyche and being about hungering and thirsting after God alone.
Whilst reading I was reminded of this beautiful song as rendered on Ron Kenoly’s album God is Able. (20 years old this year!) Should you have the privilege of reading that first chapter in the book Following Hard After God, you’ll note there is a stress on finding everything just in God, not God plus anything else. A task I can appreciate is not straightforward when the cares of this life make their demands. Yet I can bear witness to the sense of overwhelming content in just finding everything I need in God.
I’m glad for the reminder and the call to find in Him my portion, my lot, my inheritance and my reward. Enjoy.
For His Name’s Sake
Shalom
