Hallelujah

It is my great honour and privilege to know some brilliant people. They may not be household names around the world, but as far as I am concerned they are big names in my household.

There was a chance for me to big up some of my friends to other friends. It felt great giving honour to some truly incredible people who mean so much to me. Though I don’t idolise these folks, I take pleasure in giving credit where it’s due.

That got me thinking of Handel’s Messiah, The Hallelujah Chorus. In this brilliant piece we get a glimpse of majestic praise and ascribing credit where it belongs. Calling Him King of Kings and Lord of Lords, all in melodious, harmonious, exultant, ecstatic, euphoric acclaim. Just giving a small insight into what the angelic host spend eternity doing.

That word – hallelujah. That word summing up the highest point, the greatest point, the ultimate end for which praise is purposed. Even saying it only begins to sum up who He is and why of all the bigging up, the exaltation of the Most High makes the most sense and is the most fulfilling.

In all my ways my desire is for that word, that sentiment to forever influence my thoughts, words and deeds.

Hallelujah.

For His Name’s Sake
Shalom
