I saw a friend today who I haven’t seen in a few years. We hugged like long lost loving brothers. He is such a beautiful man and I have nothing but good memories and good things to say about him.
What makes me love him so much, among other things, is that he brings out the beauty in others simply by being a beautiful, loving man.
As I swelled with delight at the thought, I considered others who have that impact. It’s clearly a gift from God to have that persona. Not everyone has it at first, but the more the pure holy love of God envelopes us, the more it becomes evident.
It so evidently elicits beauty from others. Genuine, rich, delightful, heart-swelling beauty. Just by being themselves. It doesn’t matter where the other person is coming from character-wise, an encounter with such people makes the grumpiest person endearing and attractive.
So I encourage you to keep on keeping on being and growing in being the beauty God made you so that it will continue to allow those around you to likewise be beautified.
