God is good.
He gives us so much. Yet of all we’ve been given the one we can so easily fail to appreciate is time.
On reflection it just appears as if so much of my time has been wasted. The pointless conversations, telly programmes, whiling the time away on rubbish. In the context of eternity it just seems to fritter away something I’ll never get back.
This, however, is not about a guilt trip and being under pressure to make every second count. There’s no need to be that uptight. In itself that is a waste of time.
It’s just such a beautiful thing to appreciate the good things God gives. If someone gives a gift it is only fair to treat it with respect. Time is so precious the now-moment we have is called the present.
With that in mind it’s just about consciously valuing it, rather than absent-mindedly wasting it.
