One of the things about singing is that it’s a great way of expressing things that words on paper or words spoken cannot convey.
You don’t have to be an ace singer to appreciate it. Consider the song How Great Thou Art. One thing to consider Creation, the Crucifixion and the Culmination of all things in the Second Coming.
Yet singing this hymn really raises the senses to a greater degree. There’s a deeper, richer appreciation for gospel truths when we sing it and it’s a great example of why songs are so important for corporate and individual expressions of our relationship with God.
When I come across something so good and profoundly beautiful and glorious – it makes me want to sing!
