Some of us see the same thing happening and take more pleasure in criticising the thing than doing anything to address it.
For years the same nonsense can be carrying on, and it’s obviously nonsense, but when the question is asked what to do about it, comments dry up and umming and ahhhing are the prelude to further inactivity.
The Spirit of the Lord on Jesus Christ could never allow that to happen. Full of compassion, full of grace, full of truth, He proceeded to undermine and subvert the status quo with amazing signs and acts, and authoritative teachings and announcements that declared what the rule of His Father really looked like. He exhibited in His relationships with the disciples. A number of friends He gathered on the way remembered Him not just affectionately, but for how He proved to be the ture Son of God.
That changed everyhting.
Not only did He go in convinced not to accept the status quo but to make the difference, so more and more I realise, it’s not about sitting on the edges and leaving it to the rather self-conceited lot who do not hae the heart of God for Himselve, His followers and eeven the enemies he came across.
Nowadays the call remains. Will we sit and allow nonsense to to just build up and build up, Or like Jesus, is it time to pick some sticks and mash up the place and start afresh in the hope that many will see the true Light for who He is.
For His Name’s Sake
