Let me be honest with you. (I know that’s a surprise, but bear with me.)
I get rather caught up with the Holy Spirit living in me, Jesus being my guide and example, and my Father loving me like His son, that I don’t pay that much attention to the bit about the angels.
Scripture remains true, however, that
If you say, “The Lord is my refuge,” and you make the Most High your dwelling, no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent. For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; (Psalm 91:9-11)
Of course we know the devil tempted Jesus twisting part of this scripture. Yet the reality remains that when we call on the name of the Lord, we are guaranteed angels to watch over us.
I so love this song that reminds us of that reality – such a sweet song, so sweetly sung. Thank God that His angels all protect us everywhere.
For His Name’s Sake
Shalom
