Effects

I got a phone call.  It was from someone I’d not heard from in quite a while.

As you know I’m not big on making phone calls and subsequently receiving phone calls is all the more of a surprise as it suggests someone WANTS to talk to me.  So this ‘someone’ and I conversed for a short while, and it left a lasting impression.  An impression I’m happy to share here.

In as much as you’re not paying attention at the time, when you spend quality time with people, it can leave an imprint.  People can remember you for things positive and negative.  Yet there is the likelihood if you’ve spent that much time with them that even years later they will be able to recall that impact and reflect on it positively.

Your life can have interesting effects on others.

It’s why I guess for all the drive to individualism and that malarkey, there is still so much to be said about relationships, family, community and compassion.  Not just said, but experienced and shared.  Still so much  … with so much more surprising and delightful effects.

That is all.

For His Name’s Sake
