Just a quick reminder to inform you that God can speak to you through whoever he wants.
Recently I was suffering from a significant cash-flow challenge (CD for skint). As I sat working away and coming to terms with my situation, a colleague came in and opened up a conversation about reincarnation, maths, energy, positive frames of mind, coincidence and synchronicity. The colleague takes a perspective of life, that is not traditional in any religious of spiritual sense and so as with a number of others almost has a pick ‘n’ mix approach to things.
That, on previous occasions, would immediately raise barriers to me accepting what she was saying. Indeed as ever, a lot of what she was saying I heard to its completion but was fairly resolved that I did not agree with it. And yet, there was something in what she said that pointed me back to Jesus. Ask, seek and knock. The following belief that those who ask, receive, those who knock, get opened doors and those who seek find. The affirmation that it will happen for those who diligently seek him.
That reminder from that conversation did not immediately remedy my cash-flow challenge situation. It did however shake me out of a reverie that accepted my lot as though that was all there was. It reminded me of who my Father is and how interested He is on every aspect of my life, including cash-flow challenges. It reminded me that asking and seeking of Him will get me exactly what He has provided for my need – however and whatever it is He has specifically designated.
Goes to show again, how important it is to know that God is aware of your life circumstances and will be happy to show you the way, if you but have the eyes and ears to sense His direction through whatever channels He does it.
For His Name’s Sake
Shalom
