Getting Used To The Change

Missed me? Yeah I missed you too.

Since the move, I’ve not had a proper net access for online for me laptop where I prefer blogging, so I’ve had to endure an enforced leave of absence of regular blogging.  This entry is being composed from my brother’s crib in Milton Keynes.  By the way speaking of my brother, he has a blog you should read.  It has some cracking stuff – check it out and while you’re there I would strongly recommend the bit about The Christmas Spirit is one of my favourites.

I have missed blogging, I like having this platform to express some thoughts and I’ve had a number of them as I get used to life in Derby.  I am still getting used to things to a large extent.  Over the seasonal period I had the chance to spend some quality time on my own.  It is a rarity as a married father of three, but thankfully I got some time to meself and it was used to catch up on some sleep and recover from some of the physical exertions of moving.

The time now is about celebrating a special birthday and then preparing for the year ahead.  I am praying to be faithful in this move to Derby and what it entails.  I get the impression it is somewhat linked to helping people reach their potential as ever – which has been a lifelong passion.  There’s also something in this move that is about building bridges and seeing people set free.  I hope to share more on this as I live out in the days and weeks to come.

For the time being, I’m content with where we are as a family and personally.  Not content in the sense that this is where we’ll be, but content in this is where God has taken us and sustained us, and so I am grateful.  It is as I’ve mentioned on a previous occasion about looking to take whatever the next step is – and therein lies the excitement!  Keep praying for the family and I – thanks for having done so to date.

For His Name’s Sake

Shalom
