I was having a conversation with a very dear and good friend. We were talking about marriage. The friend brought up compromise. After I got my breathe back I was all up for writing about it, but to ensure I wasn’t duplicating, I checked to see if I’d written about it before.
I had. Click here to read it. It’s worth the read. Also worth reading the companion piece on compromise here as well. Feel free to disagree (you’re wrong, but hey that’s life!).
In the meantime I want to give a big shout of joy for my beautiful wife who continues to teach me the merits of collaboration and the importance of the one-flesh life being about a oneness and unity that appreciates the diversity that forms it and never – NEVER – compromises on that for lesser causes like my selfishness. Thank God for my wife, and may I ever continue to learn to love her and work with her for the common goal of giving glory to God in being one flesh.
Carry on.
