Expectations and Reality

There is a really interesting scenario affecting a friend of mine.  It’s a prayer point for you to consider.

She delivers training on behalf of one company (Company A) to the clients of another company (Company B) who are delivering a contract on beha;f of another company (Company C).  Her prime aim is to help the clients go through a training package, but her desire is actually to help the clients view themselves in a better light.

However Company A is keen to get people to complete the training package and pass it, while Company B are keen to see people hit other targets to ensure they sustain good relations with Company C who are yet looking to use the success of the clients for other ends.

My dear friend then has to juggle these expectations, whilst endeavouring to remain true to herself, for in as much as the companies have their agendas and desired outcomes, my friend views these opportunities as part of her calling.  In as much as she enables others to consider things from another perspective, so she believes she has shed some of the light of Christ for people to consider.

Making matters all the more intriguing is the time she has to engage with these clients.  So short is the window that at times the impact maybe brief as a short term buzz gives way to the return of a previously held malaise.  This way it appears that no one’s objectives are met other than Company A.

Continue to pray for her so she applies wisdom to what she does.

For His Name’s Sake

Shalom
