I love Stevie Wonder, as in I love what the man has done in music and all of that stuff. The man is a genius as far as I’m concerned. Got to be honest with you, though. I actually prefer JPK’s version of this song than the one he placed on his huge Songs in the Key of Life album.
The beat of it has a lot to do with it, but this arrangement for me highlights how Kee can take a song and put his spin on it and turn it into his own work. Really good stuff, and the backing vocals also need props for a work well done.
Whether it’s Stevie or JPK the message is timeless, wherever we are, there can never be enough or too much love, and truly what the world needs now is love. (That’s a great line, someone should write a song with that …)
