I do believe in the power of the Word. With all of my heart, soul and mind. I have seen the power in the word bring about tremendous healing in the mind and the body. I give God thanks for it.
Yet is it really helpful to just tell Christians struggling with depression to say ‘The joy of the Lord is my strength’ and if they don’t get over it, then there’s something wrong with their faith? How should the church help those who suffer from depression? It’s a talking point.
