For what it’s worth.
When I say that every blog that’s posted is done by the grace of God, I don’t mean that as a cheap and glib ‘Christian’ thing to say. If any of the words that I write in any way helps someone else out then in as much as I accept thanks – and I would accept thanks, after all I did the typing – I actually do it because of God’s grace.
Here’s the deal.
I am a proud and rather selfish dude who still thinks he’s been hard done by from time to time. My work as a husband … needs a lot of work. My work as a father … needs a lot of work. Just when I think it’s safe to think Jesus and me have a sweet deal and I’ve got all the answers, He pops my inflated opinion of myself and changes the questions – with some rather ugly answers.
He has made me a happy man by helping me begin to realise just how beloved I am of Him and the family. He continues to keep me through an adoration of Him and the fact remains when my eyes are on Him everything else just does not matter.
My worth is tied up in him and that should keep me humble. That humility stops a completely self-centred attitude to being father, husband, brother, friend and servant.
This is all to say I am a work in progress and the Master Potter continues His work in good times and bad, and I am grateful for that, which is why I want to keep in blogging in the hope that others will likewise be made glad in Him and seek to serve others with what God has given to them.
For His Name’s Sake
Shalom
