What’s The Point With The Talking Point

You may have noticed a couple of posts prefaced with Talking Point.  It might be good to get some insight into what’s the point.

Blogging is like talking.  Let’s face it, writing was talking for people who couldn’t be bothered to talk.  I don’t believe in just all-talk.  I do believe talk can do wonders in leading to action.  I do believe when you talk from the heart and then see the power of the words and work alongside it, the change in your life can be amazing.  I am also a witness to the power of talk – just a word spoken, just a sentence uttered, just a speech offered can be the difference between someone losing hope and finding purpose to transform their life and the lives of those around them.

So, I come across things and issues that are worth talking about.  Some overtly spiritual and religious, others not so overt.  I think they’re worth talking about – so I talk about them with you.  It’s not so much about me setting out my position.  It’s more about setting things up as a talking point (as you’ll notice at the end of each TP point).  Maybe the talk can lead to renewed thinking and renewed action.  Maybe the talk can lead to reinforced thinking and reinforced action.  Maybe the talk can lead to more confusion.  The point remains – and it’s worth talking about.  It’s a series I’m putting out there, just like the DMCD Songs bit.  We’ll see how it goes.

For His Name’s Sake

Shalom
