The other day I was reading an interview Frank Viola did with some guy called David Ruis. I’ve never heard of the guy, but evidently I’d come across a number of songs that he penned. I love that. It’s one thing to find out who sang the songs you like, but for me it’s even better meeting the vessel through whom God birthed the song.
The track and this version of it is actually a good way to wake up, I find. as in it’s something that drives sleep out of you and fills your thought with the driving motive of the day, which has got to be a good thing – starting the day with the thinking that in everything He is worthy of my praise.
So it’s worth getting that in your system, as it’s worth reading the interview and also checking out the brother’s web-site. Don’t be surprised if some other bits of material get posted on here.
