I’m just thinking out loud about some things.
Is it the case that you cannot help anyone who doesn’t want to be helped? If so, can you not even help the person to acknowledge the need they have to be helped?
Is it part of the responsibility of a believer to generate/stimulate the need, or are we to be sensitive to when others themselves recognise a need? When you see someone evidently throwing their life away by wasting their time, what should you do? Is it right to feel a sense of simply shrugging your shoulders and letting them carry on? Is it about being soft and lenient and pleading with them? Is it about being tough on them and challenging them?
Just thinking out loud.
