As the minutes pass and the day fades away so ends the most significant day in my own calendar. My wedding anniversary is important, the day of my baptism is also special. The birthdays of my loved ones are crucial parts of my diary. Yet there’s a thrill at the thought of a day like today.
There were some other thoughts that I wanted to share today, but I’ll save them for another time. What I will say for the moment is how grateful I am to God to see the new day and new year of my life. It was never guaranteed for me to see this year and for that alone I give God thanks. It has been an interesting year with its ups and downs, in all things God has remained tremendously gracious. Huge thanks to my wife and children as well for their presence and support. Friends I’ve come across as well as those who I’ve known for years have also beem really a source of encouragement.
Every year brings with it new challenges and there are plenty to keep me going as I embark on the 35th year. Yet for the time being I’m enjoying the present of the present.
