I love Twitter especially following people who tweet regularly with quality stuff more often than not. One of those who fit this like a glove fits a hand is called Kevin Bond who has an extensive portfolio of gospel albums and evidently knows how to tweet.
He does a series of shout-outs to people and because of the week I’ve had I felt it in order to have some shout outs of my own.
Shout out to the fathers whose task appears thankless with children making demands rather than expressing gratitude. They persevere and toil in bringing their children up in the fear of God and get more grief. Their labour will not be in vain.
Shout out to the sister who forbears the gossip against her and keeps a smile on her face for she knows the truth and she is free. She will never be flavour of the month, but her example of joy and humility will leave a lasting impression.
Shout out to the old guy who keeps on delivering the newspapers in that rough neighbourhood. Treating the young people as worthy of respect, he can accept that others think he’s crazy for doing it and he runs the risk of hurt and rejection, but his commitment has not been ignored.
