I wake up at 6am and can afford to stretch and yawn away the last remains of a thoroughly rested night’s sleep. Quietly tip-toeing to grab me gown, I make me way to the shower and brush me teeth and have an eye-opening shower to get into the swing of a new day.
Getting changed and now I prepare breakfast for all the family then head off to me den to pray and study for an hour. Time to walk the girls to school, which I do with a spring in me step as Debs regales her stories and Abi-Stax bounces along. Returning home I get settled into the first article of the day carrying out the planning, research, contact that will culminate in a good first draft of that article before lunch.
That meal is highlighted by an appointment with two brothers from the group I’m a part of. We spend the time enjoying the food and each other’s company. Sharing various challenges, rejoicing in triumphs and stirring each other up to carry on with our various works for Jesus. I return home to spend another few hours finishing the article and planing some other bits and pieces for assignments due in the week.
This is done with enough time to nip out and collect the girls from school. That is another great part of the day hearing the reports of what school is like. From the the timethey reach home for two hours it’s quality time with them – supporting them with homework and overseeing their fun time. Full family time is now upon us as we share round the dinner table our day, then we have an impromptu scripture search with the girls picking the subject and asking the trying questions for their parents to explore with them. Now it’s time for them to prepare for family prayer time and then sleep.
As they settle down the wife and I get to converse as we each go through the day’s personal correspondence. We fit in a decent film before calling it a day.
What a good day that was.
That may have been a dream, but there are enough connections to make it a reality in the not too distant future.
Just blogging. That is all.
For His Name’s Sake
Shalom
