As I understand it, yesterday was a celebration of All Saints according to church tradition. Of course those of you in my age group will think that it is a celebration of an all-girl pop/RnB group know for among other things slowing down the tune to Amazing Grace and putting some sort of ballad groove on it called Never Ever. For those of you who have that recollection, I apologise for it. Not a great song in my opinion.
That is not what this blog is all about, you’ll be glad to know. (If you were a fan of the pop group, let me know because I believe the prayer of faith can work miracles.)
This blog is a short one of thanks. I was thinking that this celebration of All Saints shouldn’t be about the dead and gone, but the living saints who bless us every day in every way from their prayers to their blogs to their phone calls, to their physical fellowship and all the other things that make the saints in Christ some of the most beautiful people on planet earth.
I’m particularly grateful to all the saints who have been reading entries on this blog from time to time. I don’t mind saying I am one to check the figures and the numbers of unique views the site receives and it never fails to surprise me how many people pop along because of the most random entry I wrote. If the figures are to be believed October was the best month I’ve had in the six years that it’s been going on for views. So thank you for reading whether on a one off or a regular visitor. Thanks so much for taking time out of your busy schedule to consider what this site has to offer and hopefully in some way being blessed by my efforts. I trust to continue and improve along this vein for as long as I am blogging.
For His Name’s Sake
Shalom
