The Talk

I remember a time when the child would be counselled by the parent on the ‘birds and the bees’.  This picture would give you the impression that it’s only recently that things have changed.  I’d argue though, that the whole peer pressure and influence of other forces have rendered the concept of that talk all the more important for a parent to engage with as soon as possible especially in the light of that child’s circle of influence both in terms of friends and electronic.  I learn from personal experience that its best if that ‘talk’ takes place in the context of other talks about life, love, the universe and everything.

When a brother said it’s good to talk, he wasn’t joking, because if you don’t talk soon, someone else will do the talking for you.

Just blogging.

That is all.
