The Baby Evangelist

I saw this picture recently and couldn’t help thinking of my daughters.  Deborah is still that verbose and is picking up a wider vocabulary with each passing book she reads.  Abigail may not be as dexterous verbally but she knows how to use her ‘cute’ looks and sheer force of nature to convince her parents that her way is the way.  Finally the youngest in Zozoz at 18 months is already clear on what her agenda is and how she’ll achieve it and where her parents are in the scheme of things.

This could bode well for the future – three flourishing women of God declaring His goodness in lives of energy and power.  Yet all this dynamic and confident displays makes me look at me beloved wife and wonder where did it all come from.  Of course it came from our Father … then I consider my wife’s own dynamism, enthusiasm and bubbly, outgoing, certain nature and am also sure that there may have been an even more direct influence on the development of my dear daughters.

This is why I ask you to pray for me!
