I saw this on a favourite site of mine and it got me thinking about the whole ‘speculate to accumulate’ mantra that is part of a lot of life not just business. The quest to keep up with the Joneses; the need to puff out the chest at our achievements; all of that leads me to think that the concept of stretching the truth to gain an advantage is the subtle and acceptable form of covetousness that allows us to delude ourselves and not accept what is real.
