What We Think Can Just Be The Tip Of …

Assumptions.

We are making them frequently they are rough guides to decisions and conclusions we’ll reach at various stages.  Some of them are right, some of them are wrong.  Either way we’ll keep plodding on assuming this, that and the other.

If you had talked about what sunk the Titanic I would have given you a certain answer.  Then I read this (thank you Meta Picture) and it got me thinking.

How often do we see people and make an assumption about them without going into any depth?  How often do people make assumptions about Jesus Christ without going into any depth?  How often do believers live their lives professing faith in Jesus Christ without going into any depth?

What the picture reminded me is that sometimes we cannot afford to live off assumptions as the truth will only be found if we choose to explore beyond the tip of the iceberg.

For His Name’s Sake
