I come across songs that embed themselves deeply and richly in my psyche, the fabric of my very being is interwoven with bits and bobs from certain tracks over time. Fred Hammond plays a big part in those songs that will be a part of me
It is one thing to get a groove going on with a studio effort that leaves the essence and resonance in the system about where true praise belongs. Fred does that to the tee with this track and I remember when I first heard it being blown away by the sound and then being blown away by the lyrics and then being blown away by the sound again before being blown away by the whole package and it was an instant ‘repeat’ track.
Of course no sooner am I settled in the studio track and expecting that whenever I hear people, then I check out this live version and of course remember what a great artist the man Hammond is to get the funk and feel across in a different way in the live setting. Awesome song altogether reminding us where true praise belongs and why it belongs to Him and Him alone. Songs like that never let me forget who I belong to and to whom true credit blonds. Thank God for the music of Fred Hammond.
