The Bletchley Experience One Year On

Saturday 17 July 2010. Location: Little Hulton, Greater Manchester.

Everything that could be packed was packed, there was uncertainty as to whether everything would go in one trip, but there was certainty that we were moving. Again.

I’ve mentioned moving in a number of blogs and they may say the only thing that doesn’t change is change, but for my life almost as inevitable in the last 15 years has been moving. We had barely settled down in Little Hulton when the call came to move. If you had ‘prophesied’ that one day I would be living in Milton Keynes I would have encouraged you to check your sources and check into a medical facility for mental problems. Yet here we were moving to Milton Keynes.

There is a story to be told of the miracle of how we ended up in this place we now call home. Now there is another story to be told of God’s faithfulness in allowing us to stay and set roots in Bletchley, Milton Keynes. We are blessed to have pleasant neighbours around us. The girls have settled enough to enjoy the summer sun with other children in the area scampering around and carrying on with their childhood shenanigans. We have begun getting acquainted with a church within walking distance of our home. A work in progress in a positive way so far.

The quest continues to find a resting place of some duration and with Abigail’s birthday in May all the Drydens have celebrated their birthdays at this residence. By God’s grace, I hope we can do that again in a year’s time. I like the place in which we live and I am eager to see what more there is to come from our time here in Bletchley.

For His Name’s Sake

Shalom
