There are times when there’s not much to write. There could be bigger deals taking place in my head, but the time’s not right to write about it. It could be a case that I’m just plain tired and have no energy.
One thing I will always be able to do is give thanks. I do not have to write thousands and thousands words on the whole gambit of life’s issues I can once more give thanks.
I give thanks for my family – my beautiful wife, my lovely daughters, a great brother, a super sister, two extraordinarily loving parents and Christians siblings in the flesh and online. These great gifts from God are helping me to grow more and more through the trials and challenges to love Jesus more and rely on His holy Spirit more for the glory of our Father.
I give thanks for the material blessings – a phone to regularly blog, a laptop, a roof over my head, food available for meals, clothes on my back, luxuries like a TV, fridge, microwave, etc. I am grateful for the ability to use these to His glory.
I give thanks for a good job where I get to work alongside talented people to serve and support young people who are growing to realise what contribution they can make in this community. I am grateful for Bletchley and Milton Keynes as a whole for being a place where I can grow and find out more of what God’s mission is to share the gospel with those in comfortable middle class settings, as well as the real suffering struggling people on the fringes of the commonwealth.
Above it all, I remain ever grateful for life in Jesus Christ – understanding Him and understanding that the more I think I understand the more there is to understand about Him, His ways, His mission, His passion for His Father’s glory, His Kingdom.
Thank you, God.
For His Name’s Sake
Shalom
